Scientists have developed an modern headphone that may filter earwax efficiently without creating a multitude.
The headphone-shaped cleansing device is named OtoSet Ear Cleansing System, and is the product of the Seattle-based medical startup SafKan Health. Otoset is claimed by the startup to be the primary FDA-approved ear-cleaning device for removing mild to severe earwax quickly and safely.
Priced at $2,700, OtoSet Ear Cleansing System has recently received $8 million in funding, StudyFinds reported.
The cleansing device allows water to flow out and in of the ear canals through the use of a singular combination of irrigation and micro-suction technology. Furthermore, it’s an automatic and wearable device.
Nevertheless, the cleansing device is to be used by healthcare professionals only.

Latest funding
On Friday, a lead investment was added by the firm Unorthodox Ventures in SafKan Health. This equals total funding of $13 million so far, as per StudyFinds.
