Why I Love This Recipe

This Peach Baked Oatmeal is a warm, hearty breakfast that is ideal if you’re craving something cozy and comforting within the morning.

Baked oatmeal is considered one of my favorite breakfasts since it is satiating, delicious, and really easy to make. It has a hearty texture that nearly jogs my memory of bread pudding and is crammed with warm, cozy spices like cinnamon and nutmeg.

The very best part is it requires only 5 minutes of prep time and 45-50 minutes within the oven and also you’re left with breakfast for the week. I like make-ahead breakfasts because they takes the guess-work out of what to eat within the morning and only involve one clean up. I’m all about less mess!

You can even freeze baked oatmeal to make sure that not one of the leftovers ever go to waste!

This baked oatmeal calls for fresh peaches that are in season right away, however the recipe is completely adaptable to whatever fresh (or frozen or canned!) fruit you’ve got readily available. It might even be tweaked based in your flavor preferences or what season we’re in.

Ingredients You’ll Need

Notes on Ingredients

peaches: I like making this with fresh peaches in the course of the summer months when it’s available but frozen or canned/jarred peaches would work well for year-round.

rolled oats: I like using old-fashioned rolled oats vs. quick oats since they’re larger and retain their texture higher with baking. If you ought to make a gluten-free version, remember to grab gluten-free rolled oats.

eggs: act to bind the ingredients together

brown sugar: helps to caramelize the peaches and supply some sweetness. You’ll be able to substitute with coconut sugar or maple syrup depending on what you’ve got readily available.

vanilla: for sweetness!

butter: acts as a flavor enhancer

unsweetened almond milk: I like using almond milk for it’s mild, neutral taste but be happy substitute with cow’s milk or your favorite non-dairy milk alternative.

cinnamon: adds a warm, cozy flavor

nutmeg: provides a nutty, warm and barely sweet flavor

salt: enhances the flavour

baking powder: helps the oats rise within the oven

pecans: completely optional but adds a satisfying crunch and texture

They sure are! Oats are a nutritious whole-grain which can be wealthy in lots of vitamins and minerals including manganese, phosphorous, copper, B vitamins, iron, selenium, magnesium, and zinc. What’s the difference between baked oats and overnight oats?

Baked oats are like a fluffy, breakfast casserole that makes for an important meal-prep breakfast.
