Certain sorts of epilepsy drugs taken while pregnant increase the chance of psychiatric disorders amongst children, a recent study has found.

Researchers from Arhus University conducted a comprehensive study of 38,000 children born to moms with epilepsy to grasp the mental health impact of epileptic medications.

The study also revealed that taking antiseizure drugs topiramate or levetiracetam while pregnant can increase the chance of ADHD and anxiety disorders in children.
