Have you ever ever been on a train and one other train passes you? For a moment, it seems the faster moving train goes backward before it overtakes the slower one. This is similar effect that happens during Mercury retrograde, when the fastest-moving planet within the solar system, Mercury, overtakes the Earth in its orbit.
Mercury retrograde generally is a frustrating time. As you navigate the inevitable glitches and delays, the important thing to navigating it and keeping your sanity intact is to stay centered.
The next yoga poses will help slow your thoughts, focus your awareness, and center your energy so which you can handle the frustrations and sense of things happening too fast which might be commonly related to Mercury retrograde. Practice them anytime you’re feeling your nerves turn into rattled or it is advisable reset your perspective. Your connection together with your breath can also be vital during Mercury retrograde, as slowing your respiratory will help quiet your thoughts and clear any frustration.

1. Mountain Pose
