Actress Malaika Arora, who is understood for setting epic fitness goals on the age of 48, took to Instagram on Monday to share yoga recommendations on an asana that might help burn extra calories.

Speaking about how the festival of Diwali often leads to binging on sweets, Malaika suggested asanas to eliminate those “extra Diwali calories” and the advantages that got here with doing the Paschimottanasana. She shared a photograph of herself practising the identical asana and wrote, “Namaste, everyone! Hope you all enjoyed the festive weekend to the fullest and spend time with family and friends. A festival of lights, love, happiness and so many delicacies to binge on. This week’s #MalaikasMoveOfTheWeek will provide help to burn those extra Diwali calories – Paschimottanasana with a brick, which can be referred to as Seated Forward Bend. This pose is great to your core strength, stimulating digestion, and strengthening the back. It should also provide help to reduce anxiety and feel relaxed. Using a brick will level up the pose, making it more practical (sic).”

“Tag me and @sarvayogastudios once you share your pictures in Paschimottanasana 😀 (sic),” Malaika added.

Moving on to speak about how you can do the asana, the actress explained, “Learn how to do it:
1) Place the brick on the lower side of your feet and sit in Dandasana along with your spine straight.
2) Breathe in and lift your arms straight over your head, reaching toward the ceiling.
3) Breathe out and bend forward trying to succeed in the brick with spine straight.
4) Now, hold the brick or your toes. Attempt to be on this pose for so long as possible.
5) At any time when you might be ready, inhale and are available up along with your hands raised above your head.
6) Exhale and produce your arms down.
7) Repeat this for five times (sic).”

Malaika Arora and her boyfriend, actor Arjun Kapoor also made the headlines recently for the actor’s mushy Instagram post. Arjun shared a candid shot of himself smiling at Malaika, with the 2 of them seen wearing traditional attire.
