Taking to her social media handle, the Bollywood diva dropped perfect mental health suggestions for the “chronic overthinker” and her advice is strictly the mental health awareness and motivation we’d like today. Sharing snippets from SheRox, her fitness workout series that’s influenced by her own training regime, Jacqueline shared a listing of “affirmations for the chronic overthinker” and it read:

  2. I actually have the ability to overcome the challenges anxiety gives me.
  3. I actually have done my best today and tomorrow is a brand latest day.
  4. I really like and approve of myself.

Mental health includes our emotional, psychological and social well-being and affects how we expect, feel and act. Yet, there’s a variety of stigma or societal disapproval attached to it where the society shames individuals who live with a mental illness or seek help for emotional distress reminiscent of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder or PTSD.

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a serious impact on people’s mental health especially on the health and other frontline staff, students, people living alone and people with pre-existing mental health conditions. In response to the World Health Organization, there’s a cause for optimism because the World Health Assembly in May 2021 witnessed governments from around the globe recognising the necessity to scale up quality mental health services in any respect levels and a few countries even found latest ways of providing mental health care to their populations.

In response to WHO, fear, worry, and stress are normal responses to perceived or real threats, and at times once we are faced with uncertainty or the unknown. So it’s normal and comprehensible that folks are experiencing fear within the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. Faced with latest realities of working from home, temporary unemployment, home-schooling of youngsters and lack of physical contact with other members of the family, friends and colleagues, it’s important that we take care of our mental, in addition to our physical health.
